I didn't know I have the capacity to compose a song. Yes, I like music. I love to sing, specially for my Father in heaven.
But composing a song was far from my future agenda. Maybe I could write lyrics, but thought to myself I didn't have the musical
ability to put melody into it. Until one night on my way home from the public market, I sung and did some praising to God
in relation to the accident that happened to me a week ago. I just put melodies into every word that came out from my mouth.
I just realized that I kept repeating the same melody and a few lyrics. I continued singing the same tune in able for me not
to forget it. When I reached home I thought of drafting it into a song. I did, by the help of the Holy Spirit. I knew I couldn't
do it without the Holy Spirit's help and anointing.
Sometimes, if not most of the time, we limit our potentials to do something beyond our abilities. We think
of it as an impossible thing to do. Yet, if we stretch our horizon of the talent God endowed us, we just woke up one morning
and realized that we did something new. Something beautiful. Something big. Something great we can offer back to God, our
best. For God deserves all our best.
Here's the lyrics of the song I just composed. It's my first composition. I pray that God will enhance
more of my newly found talent and that He will give me more enthusiasm to expand this talent to best that I can give.
FILL ME
I
My soul feels so empty
Longing to be filled
With Your divine presence
I thirst for Your Word
Let my spirit drink
And I will be satisfied
Cho:
Fill my life
Fill my heart
With Your love and grace
Sweet Jesus
I am yours
Conquer me
I will dwell in You forever
II
My life I surrender
I humbly submit
I lift it up to You
My soul forever rejoices
My heart sings praises
I am satisfied
(Repeat Chorus 2x)
I will dwell in you forever
Dwell in you forever
Forever...
